For the past 20 years the Oakleaf has been a landmark on the busy Glenshane pass connecting our two major cities. It is a fine example of a well-managed family business. From the moment you arrive, the intimate atmosphere and warm welcome from courteous, well-trained staff is memorable, with unbroken service by the same family in all weathers a consolation to the weary traveller.
Embarking on our 21st year we continue to provide excellent food served by our friendly and dedicated staff, endeavouring to use as much local produce as possible.
The platter for two as a starter was scrumptious. One of the best we have had and I love my olives, cheeses, sun dried tomatoes, balsamic and tapenade. Rest of the meal delivered on taste, quantity and price. Service was second to none. Four happy customers who will definitely be back soon.
We visited here twice recently and had a great experience both times. Clean and comfortable surroundings, pleasant staff and good service. There is plenty of choice on the menu and all reasonably priced. Food is always yummy.
Our first time visiting the Oakleaf, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The whole restaurant, bar and even the toilets are very nicely finished and kept spotless! Food was fantastic, hands down the best tastiest lasagne and chips I've ever had and very well priced for a good big portion! Definitely will be back.
Had lunch here recently with my partner, our toddler and another couple with a baby. Service was excellent and so was the food - cod, chicken burgers, salad and specials, everything hot and fresh, and the desserts were beautiful. We will all be back again soon.
